Is there any further documentation or Javadocs for the Deployer API?

I'm writing a deployer extension for 2011 SP1 HR1 and have things up and running based on Tridion World articles and the online docs but it'd be good to know what the various methods do rather than guessing based on naming.

Cheers

You can log in to the SDL Tridion World site and from the download section you may download the javadocs and other related documents.

  • Pankaj, went to sdltridionworld.com/downloads/documentation/SDLTridion2011SP1/… but couldn't see Javadocs?

Try the link named "SDL Tridion 2011 SP1 Content Delivery JSP API"

  • There are other sections as well like whitepapers, downloads etc., I have earlier download the java docs and other related things for Deployer Extension for SDL Tridion 2009 couple of years back from this section. May be you can search in 2009, or may ask the Tridion Support for their location if it has been updated. Apr 3, 2013 at 11:17
  • Great! Can this be linked into Eclipse somehow? (Forgive the cheeky extra question)

  • that where I can thought of a java development :) For deployer extensions it will be simple to develop in eclipse and not much specific configuration is needed, and once your deployer extension is ready, export it in the form of a JAR file to deploy on content delivery server. NOTE: For storage extension, you may need extra cautions for hierarchy and configuration Apr 3, 2013 at 11:29
