On Stack Exchange, we believe the core moderators should come from the community, and be elected by the community itself through popular vote. We hold regular elections to determine who these community moderators will be.

Community moderators are accorded the highest level of privilege on our community, and should themselves be exemplars of positive behavior and leaders within the community.

Our general criteria for moderators is as follows:

  • patient and fair
  • leads by example
  • shows respect for their fellow community members in their actions and words
  • open to some light but firm moderation to keep the community on track and resolve (hopefully) uncommon disputes and exceptions

Full elections have three phases and an optional fourth phase (Primary):

  1. Question Collection
  2. Nomination
  3. Primary
  4. Election

Please participate in the moderator elections by voting, and perhaps even by nominating yourself to be a community moderator!

I've watched the Tridion community grow from the very start. Our Stack Exchange site is one of the most important elements of this community and I want to see it thrive and grow. The way this will happen is if people make use of the site both to ask and answer questions.

I've done my fair share of both, and also taken part in the moderation process as a normal user of the site, in the sense of voting, editing, reviewing and flagging questions, answers and comments. I think I'm trying to say that I've been around the place long enough to know how things work, and I'm used to sweeping the floor, emptying the bins and polishing up the brightwork. I'd be happy to contribute further by helping to deal with the cases that need moderator attention.

I don't have much more to say in support of my nomination. I'm a big fan of Tridion, of course, and our community is one of the best things about it. Tridion Stack Exchange is a huge help to us all, and if we can keep the quality high while encouraging both new and returning contributors, we will all benefit.

I'm Velu and I would like to nominate myself.

I'm a member for 5.5+ years, I've learned a lot of things from this site and it's always good to do knowledge sharing and good for the community and make others life easier.

My special/main focus is on new users who are not quite aware of how the site functions and how to ask questions and where to start.

I'll be honored to have the added responsibilities as a moderator.

Something about me you'd like to know:

  • I visit the site almost every day.

  • I spend a lot of time reading old posts and improving them if necessary.

  • I'm active across a decent number of tags and scores.

  • Last year I did a lot of contribution to the community and tridion StackExchange and recognized as "Community Builder Award 2019".

If you have any question I'll be happy to answer.

I have no idea why would it make sense for me to become a moderator, but I think that I can help in following fields:

  • I am involved as active user with number of answers to stack and votes
  • I keep daily track of whats happening in Trex
  • I regularly do reviews on both questions and answers
  • I believe that we should welcome new people to Trex and guide them even if they ask silly questions because they help to grow our community and may be one of the biggest contributors in the future just like I was once. :D

This election is over.
