For upgrades to Tridion Sites 9.5, by default existing Schemas should not set the "publishable" and "searchable" settings as seen below.

Data publishing and searchable options

The idea as Product Owner @AndriyZhidko explained was that by default, new Schemas would have the publishable (via the data pipeline) checkbox set automatically. But existing Schemas in an upgrade would not be set, that way there is no unexpected item fields published to Content Delivery without explicitly confirming the change.

But what's the expected behavior for Schemas ported from an earlier version of Tridion Sites, which doesn't have the publish and searchable options?

I understand Content Porter is creating new items when it imports a package, so maybe the publishable settings should be set?

However, if the export package has Schema(s) that don't have the publishable setting at all, then maybe publishable should be not be set?

It it helps, here's the source of the above DXA Article Schema, as seen in the source tab in the Classic UI.

This came up when looking at Schemas in an upgrade which had publishable enabled for certain Schemas. History doesn't show anyone changing the Schemas, but they were imported with Content Porter, hence the question. :-)
