After some further debugging we found that few DCPs stored in broker database has no content(Empty value) and leads to the know issue with DXA 2.2 here https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000011590.

Yeah, SmartTarget has that effect on people. You think you don't have a clue what is going on for about 3 months, then it all fits together. So, to answer your question: So, does adding these TBBs is enough to generate the required Code to display promotional items ? What I mean is that adding smart target TBBs generate below code in the ASPX page ? The ...

There isn't a list, but there is way (in Eclipse), which can help you determine where class is locating Go to the Navigate menu, Open Type... (or Ctrl-Shift-T), Then type in the class name and see the list of possible jars where it could be coming from. Hope it helps.

I recently ran into this same issue on a web 9.1 install. Our issue was that our cd_storage_conf.xml for our deployer and our content service was out of sync. In the deployer we had our config publishing some items to the file system and others to the broker. However, in our content service, we did not have any item types pointing to the file system. ...

Answer to your question: Q1: Benefits of changing the Old Publishing model to the new Micro service-based publishing model. A1: SDL Tridion Sites 8.0+ (formally SDL Web) introduces a new publishing framework to replace the (now deprecated) existing publishing framework. The new publishing framework improves on the deprecated existing framework in a number of ...

So to answer my question, I have used approach as provided in Will's article: http://www.tridiondeveloper.com/cleaning-and-extending-dynamic-linking So I extended TagRenderer class and provided implementation in doEndTag(). It works now. public String doEndTag(Tag tag, StringBuffer stringBuffer, TransformContext transformContext, OutputDocument ...

We looked into the SpringBoot and Tomcat versions used and we can see that the setting which controls rotation based on format is not available on 8.5. See below more details. 8.5 uses SpringBoot 1.4.7.RELEASE + Tomcat 8.5.54 9.5 uses SpringBoot 2.1.18.RELEASE + Tomcat 9.0.45 The setting in question is not available in SpringBoot 1.4.7, but it is in ...

Once SDL contract is over, what happens to the current running site in production? Will that stop working? Yes (if the question tags are correct). But, even if it continues running, having it that way would be using unlicensed software which has legal implications. Contact SDL (RWS) directly to see what your options are. EDIT See also Nuno's comment below. ...

I did a research about this. sharing my findings here. Tomcat logs grow with no enforced size limits, they roll only once per day and are never purged in Tomcat. Tomcat uses JULI logging by default, which does not provide for log file rotation based on the file size limit. The default JULI logging configuration will allow log files to grow unbounded and they ...

AFAIK - You can disable this in application.properties # Active Spring profiles: # default - enable default functionality # search - enable search functionality spring.profiles.active=${springprofilesactive:default,search} This parameter can also be passed in the start-up parameters if you want to control dynamically. Alternatively, you can also update the ...

Reference sample Code for Unpublish PageByUrl using CoreService: using System; using Tridion.ContentManager.CoreService.Client; using System.ServiceModel; using System.Net; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Xml.Linq; namespace CoreService.PublishPageByPageURL { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) ...

The reason why you specify a "Related Component" when adding Binaries in the CM API is so the Binaries can be unpublished (indirectly, by unpublishing that related Component). The (legacy) RenderedItem.AddBinary overload which does not take a relatedComponent parameter is marked as obsolete with the following warning: Adding binary data without ...

I suggest that you use Powershell an Tridion Core service. Get a list of tcmids you want to unpublish. Then process the list of tcmids and generate tridion core service UnPublish transactions.

Apparently, this issue is resolved by implementing Apache Freemarker servlet.

I finally did it a little bit the ugly way by still publishing the ascx to file system like on the Tridion 2011 install. I have replaced the ComponentPresentationAssembler code that was trying to load the componentpressentation with my own code. This code is now checking if the published ascx file exist and if that's the case then it loads the controller ...

Yes, in Tridion 9.1 we can still publish items to the file system. In the cd_storage_conf.xml where the Discovery Service is installed, add the <Storage> element to publish files to the file system inside the <Storages> element like this: <Storage Class="com.tridion.storage.filesystem.FSDAOFactory" Id="ascx" Type="...

As mentioned by Velmurugan, one of the most important reasons to upgrade to Tridion Sites 9.1 (or 9.5 if you wait a while) is that it is supported by SDL (unlike 8.1.1), meaning that you can get hotfixes. Furthermore, it uses the latest versions of third party libraries (including security fixes) and supports the latest versions of third party software, like ...

There are 2 reasons for that: slow VPN tunnel (full tunneling is more than 5x times worse), sometimes 100x slower! cache issues (or disabled at all) We have fixed many cache errors in latest DXA app and UDP stack
