Content Porter allows users to transfer items across different instances of Tridion CM
Content Porter is a tool that comes with Tridion and has the following features:
- Enables users to copy items from one Tridion content management instance to another
- Makes use of the content manager's import/export API
- Can usually be used with more than one Tridion version
- Uses WebDAV URLs to map items from one instance to another
