You can create multimedia link fields in other schemas and use this ECL Stub Schema as the target schema. When you link to an ECL item, or even when you simply view an item, a stub component is created in the Tridion DB. I suggest that you give it a try with the help of the blogs I suggested and /or example code (which you can find in the blog also). If you still have questions after that, just ask them separately on this forum. | |

But however there are some open queries from our end and would like to hear back on the same. -Which field type to specify in schema level to store this ecl item in our database? -Should it be multimedia link? If yes, then how the linking will happen with the item present in external system? Does it creates a copy of item in our CMS db when linked ? | |
