The XML that is stored is not a public API, so if you mess it up or if the format changes in the future -- you will get bugs that nobody will be able to reproduce (most likely). At the very least, you should be reading the existing data (if any) and adding the Page Types to it -- and also should be using the Data Adapter with the root element of the XML (=XmlElement type) instead of a string with the default encoding! | |
