The SDL Tridion Core Service (added in Tridion 2011) is a WCF-based webservice that can be used to interact with all Content Manager objects. It is the preferred (and recommended) API for 3rd party tools that integrate any functionality with the Content Manager.

In the foreach loop you are redefining i each time, so i will always be 0. Consequently I suspect the remaining items in your array will by default be null.
