Also a point that I missed in the question is we are using TridionMVC framework designed especially for our client by SDL itself, we need to investigate if XO will work with TridionMVC framework or not.

Thanks for reply Rick. As per your suggestion we should go for out of the box DXA or CIS implementation and consume the published content. It is not really necessary to build one more layer of custom Rest service on top of CIS/DXA. Of course we need to build it, if we want to change format or add some additional tags before we share the content.
@Jonathan, We started with content port, initially we faced timeout issues we increased timeout settings. It is working fine. But yesterday we started getting below error. "The transaction associated with current connection has been completed but has not disposed. The transaction must be disposed before the connection can be used to execute SQL statement."
